Get Involved@41: News & Updates

Theatre@41 is run entirely by volunteers, from the front-of-house staff to the trustees. If you think you might be able to support us, there’s a number of different ways to get involved.

Members

One of the best ways to support us is as a member, contributing a small annual donation to help our work continue, while being kept up to date with the latest news from the theatre and having access to unique opportunities, including contributing at our AGM. Interested? Find out more about becoming a member.

Volunteers

We need volunteers to help with the daily operations of the theatre. This could involve working behind the bar for one of our productions, assistance with get-ins and get-outs, or helping to operate the front of house for our lovely guests. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved!

How much of my time will I be offering?

The short answer is as much or little as you like! When we are running as normal, we have a range of positions available, depending on what productions are on, and will get in touch to see if you are interested, based on the information you gave us. There is no rolling commitment. If you just fancy helping out on one occasion then we are grateful for any time you can give.

The important stuff

You must be 18 years or older to volunteer with us. Remember, this is not a form of employment, it's purely a voluntary position.

If you would like to volunteer or want more information, get in touch!

Trustees

Our board is made up of voluntary members. We manage the theatre behind the scenes from managing bookings and hires to finances and communications.

How much of my time will I be offering?

The Theatre@41 board  holds regular meetings every month of around three hours in length. At these meetings we discuss important decisions to made about the theatre and allocate these responsibilities between the board members who will be expected to complete them. You should be a dedicated individual and have a good work ethic. We are a friendly bunch however and support each other wherever necessary!

The important stuff.

You must be at least 18 years old to join the board.  When appointing, we may be looking for individuals with specific experience or skills that will strengthen the board overall.
